As the Founder and Owner of Adriatic Moto Tours, Matej started the company as a way to combine his passion for riding motorcycles with a desire to share the beauty of his homeland with other people. At a time when the countries of the former Yugoslavia were just opening their doors to tourism, Matej invited people to experience the exhilaration of riding the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Coast with him.
Matej has a degree in Marketing from the University of Ljubljana and has been riding motorcycles for 20 years. He has been guiding tours since the company’s inception six years ago, and is likely to be in the lead of your tour. His personal dedication to quality and customer service, as well as his vast knowledge and years of experience, will help ensure that you have the best motorcycle vacation possible.
Dušan joined the AMT family four years ago and immediately felt this is where he belonged. He started riding dirt bikes as a kid, and then, in his twenties, he bought his first big bike - a BMW GS 1150, which he still rides today. Riding nearly 40k km per year on his own evolved into a desire to share his enthusiasm with others. Dušan enjoys the relaxed pace of moto-touring but also likes to work hard at improving his technical skills. Best ride of his life was on the coast of Sardinia, but his favorite tour is nevertheless Beautiful Balkans Adventure!
After studies of Sinology and Sociology of Cultures, Dušan spent some time living in China, dealing mainly with different types of organization and the management of projects. Dušan comes from a small town near Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, but loves to spend time traveling, especially in Asia. In his free time you will either catch him on a motorbike or find him eating noodles somewhere in Asia.
Niko joined us because he loves the adventure. Since his early ages, he was discovering the beauty of motorcycles. His early days of an off road racing later evolved into his main passion - motorcycle travel. Living in Portugal, Western Africa and travelling most parts of the world, he has learned many languages, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish among them.
In his free time, he likes to relax and read, practice a variety of extreme sports or simply grab his motorcycle and ride it into the horizon. Niko comes from a tiny little village on the foothills overlooking Slovenian Coast. He spent most of his young age by the Sea and later on also trained for sailor and obtained ocean crossing experience. Niko’s favorite countries to visit are Italy and Czech Republic because of the beautiful scenery and great food.
