| DAY
1: Ljubljana |
Dobrodosli!
Welcome to Slovenia!
We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. After we get you settled in the hotel and you become acquainted with your bike, just take it easy - rest in the hotel, see the town or take a short introductory ride to get accustomed to the bike. Before dinner we'll go through the itinerary and discuss the format of the tour. |

2: Ljubljana - Jeruzalem |
| Today you leave Ljubljana to travel
the scenic route north, covering some beautiful Alpine country.
You ride up the valley of river Kokra to arrive to Jezersko from
where you cross to Austria for a couple of kilometers. After crossing
back to Slovenia you descend to Logarska valley, one of the most
beautiful glacially formed Alpine valleys in Europe and surrounded
by peaks over 2.200m high. After lunch you follow the Savinja river
on a twisty road heading east to reach our small hotel in Jeruzalem,
surrounded by scenic vineyards. Jeruzalem was named by the Crusades
when the beauty of the hilly landscape and its wines enthralled
them on their way to the Holy Land. |

3: Jeruzalem - Sezana |
| From Jeruzalem you head south through
wine growing region of Haloze and into Kozjansko, one of the remotest
areas in Slovenia. It is an region of forests, vineyards, rolling
hills, scattered farms and a large number of castles. Riding over
these hills is an absolute delight and a real feast for your eyes.
From famous Cerknisko lake you'll follow the underground river to
Rakov Skocjan, a 2.5km gorge full of caves, hollows, springs and
two famous natural bridges. Stay overnight in Sezana. |

4: Rest day Sezana |
Today riding is optional as you again stay in Sezana for the night. In the morning you can visit Predjama Castle. Situated in the gaping mouth of a cavern halfway up a 130 meter cliff this medieval castle has one of the most dramatic settings anywhere and was once home of Erazem Lueger, the Slovenian equivalent of Robin Hood. Next you explore Skocjan caves which with their 100 meter deep underground canyon and many vast chambers have no comparison in the world and are included in Unesco's World Heritage Sites list. You might want to visit famous Postojna cave instead, into which you take a train. In the afternoon you can ride to Piran, Slovenia's most picturesque coast town. |

5: Sezana - Bovec |
Today you will enter the valley of Soca river, famous for its deep, almost unreal, turquoise color. During the WWI, this area of peace and tranquility was the site of the infamous Isonzo Front. You'll ride past Kobarid, Tolmin and many little villages. This scenic route is nice and twisty through beautiful forests, excellent for motorcyclists. You'll have a chance to descend into the underground world of the world's second largest mercury mine in Idrija, stroll through the picturesque Pasica gorge with its hidden WWII Franja hospital and visit Tolmin river-beds which with 60m in height and only a few meters wide make an astonishing view. You end today's ride in Bovec, the gateway to Julian Alps and Triglav National Park. |

6: Rest day in Bovec |
Bovec is an exhilarating alpine resort, perfect for both adventurers and leisure seekers. Have a free day to discover the town and surrounding areas, walk one of many trails around Bovec, take a cable car to Kanin ski station, play golf, go fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, swimming or visit WWI Kobarid museum, the best European museum in 1993. Go whitewater rafting or kayaking with experienced guides on the untamed Soca river or if you feel really adventurous go for a tandem parachute jump. You can as well ride the highest mountain road in Slovenia to Mangrt mountain and visit the Kluže fortress on the way. Stay overnight in Bovec. |

7: Bovec - Bohinj |
| In the morning you navigate one of
the nicest roads in Slovenia through Trenta valley, climb up Vrsic
Pass (1.611m) with a spectacular views of the surrounding mountains
and then descend to Kranjska Gora and Planica where World Cup Slalom
and Ski Jumping World Championships are held every year. You'll ride
to Bohinj via Pokljuka Plateau through lush green forests and meadows.
Reflected in the still waters of the gorgeous Bohinj lake are the
imposing peaks of the Julian Alps which flank the peaceful village
and conjure up some truly fantastic views. You stay overnight in
Bohinj, which itself is a scattering of small hamlets with hotels
and houses dispersed along the water's densely wooded southern shores.

8: Bohinj - Ljubljana |

You'll spend the morning in Bohinj
and its surroundings. Hike to Savica, magnificent 60m waterfall
cutting deep into a gorge and one of the most impressive sights
in Julian Alps. Dive into clear green lake or take a cable car
to Vogel ski station some 1.000m above the lake. You then ride to
Bled, indisputably one of Europe's most beautiful lakes and mountain
resorts. With its emerald-green water, picturepostcard church
on an islet, medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff more than
100m above the lake and some of the highest peaks of the Julian
Alps as backdrops, Bled is Slovenia's most popular resort. You
continue the ride on twisty road passing attractive historical
towns of Radovljica and Kropa to arrive to the hotel in Ljubljana.

9: Ljubljana, flight home |
In the morning you can stroll the old part of the city, including
the colourful antique market. The quaint, narrow streets along the
right bank of the Ljubljanica River, with its medieval bridges,
are reminiscent of Prague - without the crowds.
Depending on the time of the flight back home, you may have time
to climb up the staircase to 16th century fortification of Ljubljana
Castle that dominates the town before heading out to the airport. |
