Terms & Conditions
BOOKING
Bookings have to be made in writing - by mail.
To reserve a tour an initial booking deposit of 250 EUR per person is
required. This booking deposit secures your place on the tour on the
date of your choice; the balance is due 60 days before the departure
date. If you book your tour within 60 days of the departure date the
total tour cost is due on your booking. The payment can be made by bank
transfer or by cheque and has to be completed at least 60 days prior
to the tour start day. Fill in our Book form,
press the "submit button", check the information that you
have entered, print the form and sign it at the bottom. Alternatively
you can print blank PDF booking form and fill in your information by
hand. Attach your Cheque or a copy of your Bank transfer paid to SMTours
and send them to the following address:

A booking is valid when the customer receives confirmation letter from our office that he/she has paid the required deposit and we guarantee a place in the tour.
Only those who have paid in full are allowed to take part in the tour.
MOTORCYCLE TOURS CANCELLATIONS & REFUND POLICY
SMTours reserves the
right to cancel or change a scheduled tour in accordance with operating
requirements or circumstances.
SMTours reserves the right to alter routes
and accommodation at short notice. In this event, tour members will be
notified as soon as possible, and will be offered accommodation of similar
or better standard or a reasonable adjustment in cost.
Should cancellation
of a tour be necessary, the customers will be immediately notified with
a written notice and the deposit will be refunded in full. No further
claims can be accepted.
In case of a customer canceling his/her booking after confirmation,
SMTours reserves the right to withhold the deposit/tour charge in part
for costs incurred.
If a tour is cancelled more than 60 days prior to the departure date,
the fee is 100 EUR. For canceling the tour within 60 days prior to the
tour cancellation fee is as follows:

All cancellations must be received IN WRITING at our office.
SMTours reserves the right to withhold the deposit/tour charge in full
when the cancellation is made less then 2 weeks prior to departure or
in the event of no show up on the tour start day. The customer may provide
a substitute person without forfeiting the deposit.
A GOOD TRAVEL INSURANCE
POLICY IS RECOMMENDED.
EXTRA OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
The participants in swimming, whitewater rafting
and any other outdoor activities are fully aware of the risks and dangers
involved and accept full liability.
INSURANCE
Those taking part in the tour are responsible for arranging
adequate travel, health, accident and theft insurance as well as trip
cancellation insurance .
All motorcycles are insured with a Third party
liability insurance and Comprehensive vehicle insurance.
A security deposit
has to be paid to SMTours at the time of hand-over of the motorcycle
at the beginning of the rental period. The amount of this safety deposit
is equal to the amount of the deductible of the vehicle insurance and
is described in the schedule below.
A security deposit is to be secured by credit card or paid in cash,
and will be fully refunded when the motorcycle is returned undamaged
to SMTours. Any damage to the motorcycle, up to the insurance excess
will be deducted from the security bond.

When a customer brings his own motorcycle for use on the tour, no motorcycle insurance is provided by SMTours.
LIABILITY
SMTours is responsible for providing the services listed in
our Terms and Conditions or at the end of tour description. Other services
are not included in the price and must be requested additionally. We
ask our customers to read our Terms and Conditions and to sign an indemnity
waiver which is a standard practice of any tour / travel agency. The
participants in a motorcycle tour are fully aware of the risks and dangers
involved and accept full liability. It is agreed and understood that
the owners, operators and agents of this tour, including SMTours are
not the guardians of any customer's safety and they, individually or
collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in
connection with the operation or the client's participation in connection
with the tour, which might result in injury, death, or other damage to
the client, his property, or his family, heirs, or assigns.
They also are themselves responsible for any damage caused to third
parties and agree to forgo all claims against SMTours and its employees
for any damage occurring during incidents on the tour. A rider is responsible
for all traffic tickets received during the tour. A service charge will
apply for all unpaid tickets.
All kind of complaints must be reported
immediately to the tour guide and cannot be considered at a later time.
SMTours does not accept any liability for delays caused by breakdowns
or necessary repairs to motorcycles or transportation vehicles during
the tour.
TOUR GUIDE
The tour guide is in charge of the respective tour.
Participants agree to respect instructions given by the tour guide,
the hotel personnel, and others involved in the tour.
In case of illness or accident of the tour leader during the tour, which
leads to tour cancellation, those taking part are entitled to claim
for a proportional refund of the tour price.
Claims for further compensation are not valid.
TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The participants in each motorcycle tour agree to obey the traffic
regulations and all rules laid down for the group tour. They also agree
not to cause any damage to natural surroundings or third parties through
their actions while riding their motorcycles. In the event of a participant
repeatedly ignoring rules or causing others taking part to feel threatened
because of their actions, SMTours reserves the right to exclude such
persons from the tour without refund.
SMTours reserves the right to compensation.
DOCUMENTS
Every participant needs a valid driver's license to take part
in a motorcycle tour. Your home license is valid for use in Slovenia,
Italy and Croatia
;
the same restrictions apply as in the country of origin. Licenses must
have a motorcycle endorsement.
Slovenia is a full member of European Union. Tourists to Slovenia, Italy
and Croatia from most countries do not need visa - a valid
passport is required only. Those taking part in a tour are responsible
for arranging adequate travel, health, accident and theft insurance
as well as trip cancellation insurance. Bring all the insurance documentation
with you.
SERVICES
The tour price includes:
- Late model motorcycle with lockable hard luggage and/or tank bags plus a Third party liability insurance and Comprehensive vehicle insurance.
- Competent guide on a motorcycle.
- Support van for luggage and souvenir purchases for groups of 5 bikes or more.
- Overnight stays in quality 3*** or 4**** hotels or first class B&B, including arrival and departutre day with breakfast. All rooms have private facilities.
- 3 dinners (8 day tour) or 4 dinners (13 and 15 day tour).
- Airport transfers on arrival and departure - whatever time you arrive.
- Detailed route sheets and all maps for the region being toured.
- Detaied information booklet.
- VAT (Value added tax).
Other services are not included in the tour price and must be additionally requested.
ACCOMODATION
The tour is based on sharing a twin or double room. We will attempt
to find a suitable roommate for every rider not specifying "Single
room" on their booking form. If numbers do not match, SMTours reserves
the right to place the tour guide in the room with the last person who
booked the tour. If you prefer not to share a room, the single occupancy
supplement is 130 EUR (8 day tour) or 220 EUR (15 day tour).
SMT can arrange any extra overnight stays pre and
post tour. Please let us know in advance.
MOTORCYCLES
The motorcycle and transportation vehicle rental is included
in our tour packages. All our rental motorcycles are maintained by fully
qualified motorcycle technicians. In the unlikely event of a motorcycle
breaking down, we will repair the machine or replace it as soon as possible.
If you would like to bring your own motorcycle, we will give you a discount
on the tour package price (excluding vehicle insurance and optional
services).
Extra motorcycle rental before or after the tour with unlimited
mileage is also available.
MOTORCYCLE RENTAL
Any motorcycle rental reservation become final after a 200 EUR
non-refundable deposit is received in full. If you fail to send your
reservation deposit we may cancel your reservation at any time.
Modification of an existing
reservation can be made free of charge if claimed at least 21 days before
the commencement of the rental, otherwise a surcharge may apply.
The full
rental amount and the security deposit are collectible before or at the
time of the bike pick up.
