Enjoy the stunning landscape of the Eastern Alps and experience roads less travelled!

We invite you to explore the romantic city of Venice before leaving Italy next day for the Julian Alps in Slovenia. We spend the night in the high alpine town of Bovec, nestled in the verdant Soča Valley, and ride up the highest Slovenian pass - the Vrsic Pass - the next day.

Continuing on to the Austrian Alps, we ride sweeping curves and hairpins amidst snowy peaks, glaciers and green pastures. This is the region of Styria, the "Green heart of Austria." Next, we enjoy two nights in the skiing area of Schladming. Well- rested, we ride on to the mighty Grossglockner Pass on our way to the spectacular Italian Dolomites, and relax on the sparkling shores of Lake Garda before bidding farewell to this beautiful corner of Europe.

Day by day

Day 1: Arrival in Venice

Fly into the beautiful city of Venice. We'll meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

Depending on your time of arrival, we may be able to direct you to the bus or taxi for an afternoon of strolling in Venice. At 4 PM we'll meet for a tour briefing, and after that, we'll meet for a welcome dinner at a classic Italian Trattoria.

Day 2: Venice - Bovec

Leaving the city of Venice behind, we will immerse ourselves in the beautiful scenery of the Alps.

After passing Lake Santa Croce and the majestic Vajont Dam, we'll continue north along the river Piave, on the eastern edge of the Italian Dolomites, and over the Passo Pura into Slovenia. After some valley riding, we will climb up the Predil Pass, a natural border with Slovenia, before descending to Bovec in the Soča Valley.

Day 3: Bovec – Teichalm

Waving goodbye to the Soča Valley, we’ll make our way to the Vršič Pass.

With 50 hairpin curves, it is the highest pass in Slovenia. From the little town of Kranjska Gora, we will ride the Wurzenpass, connecting Slovenia and Austria. We'll become one with wide, sweeping roads, zooming through Austria's mountain ranges, green pastures, and ski resorts —incredibly picturesque Austrian countryside.

Day 4: Teichalm – Schladming

Today we’ll take you into the “Green Heart of Austria,” as they call the beautifully green region of Styria.

These mountains are lower than the Western side of the Alps, though the highest peak in Styria, Dachstein, still reaches almost 3000 meters. This is why these parts offer a seamless riding experience. We will spend two nights in the skiing area of Schladming.

Day 5: Rest day in Schladming

Schladming is a large winter-sports resort in the northwest of the Austrian state of Styria, past site of various skiing competitions.

Experience Austria's highest suspension bridge, enjoying the view over Austria's highest peaks or take a ride, following the routes we've planned for you for today.

Day 6: Schladming – Brunico

Leaving Schladming we ride west, taking in the beautiful scenery while passing the Zell am See.

We will experience the thrilling Grossglockner High Alpine road, which leads into the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, before crossing into Italy again. The ride over some smaller passes will lead us to Brunico, where we'll spend the night in the shadow of the most famous skiing resort in Italy, Kronplatz.

Day 7: Brunico – Lago di Garda

Riding deeper into the Italian Alps, we will weave among the jagged limestone towers and precipitous cliff faces of the Italian Dolomites.

Today we will get to ride all the best passes such as the Sella, Gardena, Fedaia and Passo Rolle before settling in on the shores of the largest lake in Italy, Lago di Garda.

Day 8: Lago di Garda – Venice

A very scenic ride along the edges of Italian mountains awaits you today.

We will pass the Levico Terme, a world-renowned spa area and then head into the higher mountains. Then we will continue at a slower pace, along the River Piave, ending the day in Venice, right where we started this adventure.

Day 9: Flight home from Venice

Depart Venice.

Spending one or two nights in Venice at the end of the tour is, of course, a great idea, especially if you did not do so at the beginning. Take a boat ride on the Grand Canal, Venice's main waterway lined with Renaissance palaces. You can disembark at the Piazza San Marco and stop to appreciate the intricate architecture of the Basilica di San Marco. Then wander the streets, marveling at the sheer number of tiny arched bridgeways over the many, meandering canals.
