This tour has it all: the glamour of the French Riviera, the culture and history of Provence and Andorra, the spectacular roads of the Pyrenees, Gaudi's city of Barcelona, and the breathtaking passes of the French Alps. Adding the rich and delicious cuisine and wine makes this tour a pure pleasure.
We'll start the tour in Nice, once the summer home of European elites. We'll visit Roman ruins, gaze deep into the Verdon Canyon, stroll through the villages of Luberon, go vertical in Vercors, let Aix, Barcelona, and Avignon charm us, and explore one of the smallest European countries, Andorra. But above all, we'll ride some of the most exhilarating roads on the planet: the French Alps, Pyrenees, and the country roads of Provence.

Arrival to Nice
Welcome to Nice and the Côte d’Azur.
We will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. Before our 4 pm introductory briefing at the hotel, head to Promenade des Anglais and stroll on one of the most famous waterfronts in the world. Soak in the Mediterranean scent and marvel at the “La Belle Époque” heritage. Palm-lined avenues are home to grand villas and old hotels built at the end of the 19th century, a period of great political and social progress of French Society.
Nice - Aix-en-Provence
We start the day by following the Route of Napoleon with sweeping bends and altitude changes, which make this a spectacular ride. The center of the perfume industry since the 18th century, Grasse can awaken all your senses. The route continues via the amazing Grand Canyon du Verdon, akin to Arizona's Grand Canyon, deep, wild and beautiful. Scattered vineyards, olive plantations and lavender fields around us provide poetic scenery as we ride all the way to Aix. Staying in the center of the town will reveal all the hustle and bustle of Provence’s capital.
Aix-en-Provence - Cevennes NP
Heading northwest, we leave Aix-en-Provence and ride through vineyards, olive groves, and the rolling countryside of the Rhône Valley. Our route continues west toward one of France’s great landmarks, the Pont du Gard—a majestic Roman aqueduct above the Gardon River and a perfect spot for a short stop. From here, the scenery transforms as we leave the plains behind and climb into wilder terrain. The road twists through forested hills and quiet valleys, leading toward Cévennes National Park. By day’s end, we’re surrounded by rugged peaks, rivers, and stone villages—the perfect finish to a day’s ride through southern France.
Cévennes NP - Carcassonne
We follow the river Tarn towards Millau and see the remarkable modern viaduct—the tallest in the world. It was built by the English architect Sir Norman Foster and French structural engineer Dr.Michel Virlogeux. Impressive sight indeed! Later in the day we reach Carcassonne, a magnificent fortified town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Rest day in Carcassonne
A day for exploring the outstanding medieval fortified town of Carcassonne, built on a formation of rocks. It has been there for over two millennia and is today an attractive tourist town to visit. We’ll tour the impressive defense architecture with a 3 km long wall and 52 towers protecting the inner town, keeping La Cité safe and sound from outside invaders. Well, today mostly from the weather.
Carcassonne - Andorra
We'll leave the medieval charm of Carcassonne behind and embark on a scenic ride to the hidden gem of Andorra, nestled in the Pyrenees Mountains. The journey offers a rewarding experience through picturesque landscapes and charming villages, zigzagging along gentle curves over the beautiful Pyrenees Mountains before arriving in Andorra, the sixth smallest country in Europe.
Andorra – Barcelona
Leaving the wild beauty of Andorra, nestled between France and Spain, we will find ourselves on the beautifully curved roads of the Pyrenees as soon as we step out of the hotel. The stunning vistas of the rugged Pyrenees Mountains will accompany us throughout the day as we head south to Spain, snaking through the long sweepers towards sunny Barcelona, one of Europe’s trendiest and most visited cities.
Rest day in Barcelona
Today's rest day will definitely be spent off the bike as we explore one of the most interesting and exhilarating cities in the world. Its historical importance as a strategic Mediterranean port has kept it prominent since the Roman Era, fostering a rich cultural melting pot. Artists have made their mark on the city's architecture with masterpieces like Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, and have honored the city by establishing museums for their collections, such as those by Picasso and Miró.
Barcelona – Perpignan
After two nights in the city, we are ready to hit the road again, heading towards France. Today’s ride will be a mix of mountainous routes over the Pyrenees and some coastal riding before arriving in Perpignan, a sunny Catalan city blending French charm and Spanish cultural influences.
Perpignan – Avignon
Our tour leaves the Mediterranean and turns back east to Provence. The destination for the day is Avignon, a city well-known to everyone. Today's ride will first include some highway travel to take us further north and inland, riding through a region full of small picturesque villages and gentle curves. Next on the itinerary is the mighty Roman aqueduct, Pont du Gard, conveniently located for us to visit just before entering the majestic Avignon.
Rest day in Avignon
Jump in the saddle and ride out to explore Gordes or L’isle Sur le Sorge and nearby Luberon. Head south to Camargue National Park to catch a glimpse of flamingos in their ascent from the ground, and stop in famous Arles on the way back. For some Roman inspiration, the best preserved Roman theatre in the world lies in Orange. Or stay in Avignon and relax, it indeed is a great place to spend the day.
Avignon - Vercors
Heading northeast from Avignon, we cruise through vineyards and lavender fields toward the mighty Mont Ventoux. The climb unfolds with sweeping switchbacks and ever-wider views until we reach the barren summit—an otherworldly landscape often called the “Giant of Provence.” After a well-earned pause, the descent brings us through alpine forests and quiet mountain villages before the road straightens toward the Vercors Massif.
Vercors - Embrun
From the Vercors Massif, we take the cliff-hugging Combe Laval road, a breathtaking ribbon carved into sheer limestone walls. Panoramic views of deep gorges and forested valleys surround every turn, making each curve unforgettable. Descending from this Alpine grandeur, the route opens to gentler landscapes as we ride across rolling hills and rivers, winding steadily toward the charming town of Embrun, framed by mountains and shimmering lakes.
Embrun - Nice
We’ll start our way back to Nice for our final dinner and closing of the tour. The area still has good roads laid down for us, so keep your focus. The route grinds through the Lower Alps and Provence with nice curvy parts and over some lower mountains almost all the way to the coast.
Departure from Nice
Departure from Nice. All good things come to an end. With new experiences and memories, we'll say goodbye to our new friends and riders, wishing everyone a safe journey in their future endeavors with high hopes of meeting again.
